High ping or lag in FiveM from Bangladesh: how to improve it

Ping depends on your ISP and routing as much as on the server. These steps can make your connection steadier.

1. Use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi.
2. Close apps that use the internet in the background (updates, torrents, cloud sync).
3. Try a faster DNS such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
4. Restart your router and ONU/modem.
5. Play at off-peak hours if your ISP is congested in the evenings.
6. Test without a VPN. A VPN helps some ISPs and hurts others; try both.
7. Call your ISP if you see steady packet loss.

You can see ping and packet loss in-game by opening the F8 console and checking the network stats, or by pressing F8 and typing netgraph 1.
